#2 of 2 {My missionary man}

Quite some time ago I remember being told from one of my favourite people that marrying a return missionary wasn't just about being able to say "he's an RM" (which of course at the time was why we all wanted to marry missionaries)

He told me (that favourite person) that marrying a return missionary would mean I would be catching myself a strong priesthood holder who would teach my children the ways of the Lord.

And that my Children (as children do) would look up to him and wish to be like him every time he told stories about filling peoples lives with the light of Christ.

The important decision to marry in the faith someone of high moral standards would affect and bless not only my life, but the lives of my children.

Then he told me to go, make myself worthy of such a man.

So I did. I changed my perspective to one that included eternity. Then I found not just my RM but my eternal companion. My best friend.

And we are blessed continually because of it.

Yesterday Kyle told me that it has been 4 years since he finished his mission.

At times it seems like we are on the back foot because Kyle lost two years where he could've been in school/working.

However, because he served the Lord selflessly for those two long (and in his words "stressful") years we have been blessed 100 x in other much better ways.

 And hopefully, sometime soon, we will have another little Elder Andrews to be the man his wife would want him to be.

Love you hun, thanks for being my bestfriend, my mentor, (my muscle) my everything xx

My heart melted when you were talking about blessings and there is that gorgeous pic of Bastian at church, holding scriptures. Love it. I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you have lost 2 years. Pete felt a bit the same when we got married and he still had so much Uni to complete.
Loved your post. Love that you guys embrace the idea of being IN LOVE and staying that way ;-)
