Day 7 {24th Dec}

 On Christmas Eve we woke up with one VERY sick boy. We couldn't stop because we were headed for Carmila Beach a cruisey 6 hours away.

Poor boy had to sit in the car with a bucket and sleep and spew the whole way..

Starting to look like I have a bad case of the hives.. Darn you QLD and your Mosquitos..

There was lots to see along the way, we were continually amazed by the lack of fences around peoples farms.

We saw fields of mangoes and fields of sugar cane.

We arrived in Rockhampton and had a bit of a look around.

Crossing over the tropic.

The weather seemed to take a turn for the worst when we were approx an hour away from our destination.

Suddenly Bucketing.. Hope it's not raining for Christmas Day !

    • Jessica  Yeah , we drove through a huge storm .. Literally came out the other side of it and nothing was wet. Pretty cool, glad it wasn't raining where we were..

It was raining so heavily we had to pull over again, this time we sat in the car for a very long time before slowly creeping back onto the road and driving very slowly for about an hour (and still we were half an hour away)

Suddenly we drove through a sheet of rain - coming out the other side and everything was completely dry!

We arrived at camp and there was still no rain, set up and went to bed! We were truly blessed with good weather when ever we needed it.
